Ron talks to Ray Rising CP6RR in Bolivia each Sunday afternoon on
15 meters. At 10pm each evening Ron is on the
Over The Hill Net on 3781.6 Khz.
Ron is trustee for the Waxhaw Repeater K4WBT, located at the
JAARS center. This repeater is on 146.865 + offset.
It also requires tone access
at 94.8hz. This repeater is on Echo Link.

Gethsemane Garden Christian Centre (GGCC) -
We have both traveled to Kenya several
times on missions trips with Calvary Church in Charlotte NC. We
went to Mfangano Island on Lake Victoria in Kenya.
The Suba people live there. The Suba Bible
Translation is being done by Naphtaly Mattah a Suba man.
In 2003 Naphtaly and his wife Nereah started Gethsemane
Garden Christian Centre on the Island. GGCC is a
boarding school and home for Suba orphans who have lost
their mother and father due to AIDS. There are 161
children attending GGCC now and they hope to add one more
grade each year. There are over 500 kids on the Island
waiting to get into GGCC.

When Naphtaly was here last year Ron was able to help
him find a new InMarSat Satellite communications system.
Naphtaly took it back with him to GGCC. It is really
exciting to read email each day from Naphtaly using that
Satellite system on Mfangano Island. He keeps the
batteries charged using a Solar panel system.

Mfangano Island. Now the Bible Translation Team can
send email over the Radio to Nairobi and into the Internet
system.
